As the Technical Designer, you will implement and manage design strategies in collaboration with the Creative Director. You will conceptualise ideas, determine range structure, and produce all technical packs. You will work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and agents to ensure that all ranges are delivered on time, on budget, and meet all consumer fit requirements.

This is a part-time salaried position offering approximately 19 hours per week.  


Ensure consistent brand DNA through all design elements
Technical design of all products in the range
Produce detailed technical packs for all manufacturers and suppliers
Assess manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the technical pack specifications are followed
Beyond design, ensuring that all products are fit for purpose, tested, and meet brand criteria
Develop processes for product testing and fit analysis
Conduct consumer feedback sessions as part of the new product development process
Develop QA testing processes on the durability of ranges
Maintain knowledge of supplier base and sourcing activities for the entire range

About you                  

Experience as a Technical Designer in sportswear/outerwear apparel
Supply chain experience in sportswear/outerwear apparel
Demonstrated capability with industry design including garment and textile construction experience
Ability to research and develop designs, concepts and themes and convert ideas into products
Experience with apparel design and manufacturing processes within the retail industry
Advanced skills with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite
Great at managing your time and planning your work
Strong work ethic, flexible in your approach and supportive of others
Technical design problem solving skills
